Title: Clockwork Heart
Rating: T-ish (also obligatory warning about it being from an OC’s perspective)
Summary: He’s kind. He’s attentive. He’s loyal. He’s everything you want in a man. Except he isn’t.
A/N: Blame puhpuhtooie, she’s the one that sensed someone writing this in the future. Also this is kind of winding and rambly. Oh well idegaf
It was really quite novel, at first. You finally were doing what your teenage self dreamed of every day- dating a musician. A damn talented one, at that- a pianist, guitarist, bassist, and he could sing notes that made your stomach melt into chocolate. And that was just a bonus; you had met him in a bookstore, and started chatting when you brushed your hand up against his by mistake, reaching for a book. How cliche, right?
He was everything any woman could ever desire. He’s kind and funny. He’s protective without being controlling. Chivalrous, but not sexist. Loyal, but intelligent. He always asks you about your problems- and helps with them, too! And, you suppose, for an automoton, he’s pretty attractive, too.
But there’s just something that’s missing. You feel dirty for thinking it, but deep down, you know the truth- he’s made of metal, and that’s not human enough for you.
